IWAP 2011/2012 September Field Trips

Join us on our first field trips of the year!

First Date: Wednesday, September 21st. 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Sharon says: See the very best view of the city, sail along the Monongahela, Allegheny and Ohio rivers and eat at that American experience the Hard Rock Café.

We will start the first field trip of the year with a ride in the funicular railway to the top of Mt. Washington (Cost $2.25 each way).

Following this, we will set sail on the Gateway Clipper for a one hour boat ride (12:15 – 1:15) on Pittsburgh's rivers. You will be able to sit back and relax and listen as the captain points out the landmarks of the city (Cost $12.50 for adults, $8.50 for children three years and over).

We will end our day out with lunch at the Hard Rock Café where you can get true American burgers, salads, sandwiches and regular entrees.

Second Date: Sunday, September 25.

Council of the Three Rivers Native American POW-WOW -- 120 Charles Street, Pittsburgh, 15238.

Ann says: We can meet at my house at noon and go as a group to the site...This is an activity for the entire family... dance, crafts, food and lots of fun.

We will have a sign up sheet at the first and second meetings to include who would need a ride, phone numbers, etc.
