May Field Trip

Tuesday, May 13 : Tour Ed Mine
Experience what it was like to be a coal miner in the 1850's and today. Your guides are experienced coal miners, who will treat you to an amazing, educational tour 160 feet below the Earth's surface.

This is a 1hour 30 minute guided tour, approx 30 minutes underground.
Underground temperature range 52-55 degrees bring a light jacket/sweater.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, no sandles.
Avoid wearing WHITE clothing.
Part of this tour is not suitable for baby strollers, small children should be able to walk, baby backpacks ok.

Meet at The First Baptist Church 9:30am
Tour begins 10:30-10:45am at the Tour-Ed Mine
Route 28, Exit 14, Tarentum, PA

Return to church approximately 2:00pm

Cost:   $12.00 per person  (children 12 and under $9.50, children under 3 are free)
(includes tour, gas for drivers, and tip)
PRE PAY REQUESTED (cash or check) during Thursday meetings 


We will stop for lunch at Primanti Brothers in Harmarville for a "Pittsburgh Sammich" lunch on your own !
